


The Brompton Taiwanese Championship took place on Sunday, 27th February, 2011; the first in a series of National Championships taking place across the globe in 2011. The BTC is a satellite event of the Brompton World Championship, the event, now in its sixth year, which was first held in Barcelona, Spain, in 2006. The BWC is a truly international event, the 2010 event, held at Blenheim Palace, England, attracted participants of up to 34 different nationalities. These satellite events are designed to make the Brompton World Championship more accessible to all those who are keen to take part.
The Taiwanese event involved 120 riders completing 20 laps of a closed 0.72km circuit, the fastest Male and Female competitors were rewarded with return airfares and entries to the BWC, to be held at Blenheim Palace, England, on 21st August, 2011.
Jackets, collared shirts and neck ties are still a must and for those more extrovert competitors, a prize for the best dressed will also be awarded.
