Brompton Japanese Championship 2011

On Saturday 9th July 2011, Mizutani Bicycle Company hosted the Brompton Japanese Championship at Ecopa park, located between Fukuroi City and Kakegawa City. This was the second year in a row a national championship has taken place in Japan. The race was comprised of 6 laps of a closed 2km circuit, making the distance only slightly shorter than the UK's World Championship course.

A marathon race (most laps of the circuit within an hour) was also held at the event.

The field , made up of 150 competiors, fought hard to achieve the faster rider title in male and female categories. Staying true to the urban experience, and in keeping with the World Championship rules, all participants were required to wear business attire.
